A year after the earthquake which struck Haiti, the NGO HAMAP continues supporting the Haitian people, who are still in a vulnerable and precarious situation.
A HAMAP project coordinator, Philippe Limare, returned to the country mid-January in order to lead a project to train and implement on food safety in the Abricots district.
These actions will ensure a safe food supply to 550 people and socio-economic re-intergration of 50 more. This work is possible thanks to the support of the Regional Consel of Hautes-de-Seine (Conseil Général 92), the towns of Sanary-sur-Mer and Plaisir and also the Anjou region of the Crédit Mutuel bank.
