The United Nations Organisation for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) welcomed Joel Kaigre, President and Founder, and the NGO HAMAP delegation for the 20th anniversary of the International Convention for Children’ rights.
NGO HAMAP were given the opportunity to present their various actions in favor of Children and Human rights.
According to the United Nations, children account for 1/3rd of the victims of landmines and bombes a sous munition and other explosives still buried in the ground.
NGO HAMAP members are very thankful to Ms Janine MARIN, former President of the Commission against Poverty and member of the Human Rights commission, Mrs Dany BOSOM, Event Coordinator and Mr Patrick GALLAUD, President of the Human Rights Commission who offered NGO HAMAP the opportunity to present a documentary produced by one of its member, Mr Bruno VERDEAUX. This film underlines the importance of the actions taken by HAMAP since its beginnings in 1999, and more particularly the actions taken in order to protect the physical and psychological integrity of children affected by landmines throughout the world.
NGO HAMAP is very proud that the action of its members and volunteers was recognized by this high international institution which contributes to bringing knowledge and peace between the communities around the world.
